Wicked weather ahead!
Get your galoshes ready! (or as my dad calls them “rubbers”)
Being the weather geek I am, I’ve been following this storm for two weeks, watching the weather nutjobs debate whether the “big cities” of the northeast would get walloped by a big blizzard at the end of the winter season.
As it turned out, the storm is heading a bit west of here, and we’re on the warm side and will get soaked with rain for the next day or two! Other interior areas of the Northeast will get 1-2 feet of snow.
How much flooding will occur in Hoboken this time?
If the water level in your neck of the woods begins to rise, send your photos in to Hoboken411@gmail.com.
From the National Weather Service (as of 4am today):
Another heavy rainfall event on the way…
“A COMPLEX LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TAKING SHAPE OVER THE GULF COAST STATES EARLY THIS MORNING WILL PRODUCE A PROLONGED PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND POTENTIAL FLOODING. STORM TOTAL RAINFALL SHOULD RANGE FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES… WITH SOME LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS…ESPECIALLY IF THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP ON SATURDAY.”
