Misc. Parking Offender Zone – 2/26/2008

2/26/2008:

Decided to lump to categories in one for this entry. A reader sent in a picture showing a frequent incident in Hoboken, where the parking is so tight that it’s next to impossible to exit the spot, and another picture I took yesterday of the Fire Chief’s SUV (and another car) happily parked on the sidewalk near City Hall.

“Eating” is official business, you know?

I used to drive a VW Jetta and would regularly find it sandwiched between SUVs like the picture above. I have since upgraded to a Hummer and low and behold everyone now leaves me plenty of space. No more scratched bumpers, no more bumper lock! Go Hummer!

I’ve had that happen too…the bumper of a Ford Expedition on my little civic. And the expedition was so close to avoid being in the crosswalk. Luckily I don’t care about damage to my car (how could you living in Hoboken) and just kept trying. It took about 20 minutes.
