Citadel Open House – October 4th

Citadel Open House – October 4th

The Citadel in Hoboken is one of those buildings that it’s hard to tell there are actually businesses located inside. This is part of the reason why they spruced-up the exterior awnings in the past year to bring attention to what’s going on.

That said – they obviously need all the help they can get – and are holding a Citadel Open House event this coming weekend, on Saturday, October 4th from 12pm to 5pm.

If you’re interested in the Citadel Open House and you can’t figure out where this is – This “historical” building is located at 450 Seventh Street. In the lower level of the building are business like Hoboken Wellness Spa, Learn Language Hoboken, Self & Relationship Therapy, ZenSpace and Brainwaze Studio. To get into the basement, walk into the “BOYS” or “GIRLS” entrances on 7th Street.

Feel like meeting the business owners? Or attend “informative” presentations on marketing, health & wellness, language or culture? Here are your choices!

  • Personalized Pulse Reading “Discover your Dosha” – an Indian Ayurvedic tradition, at Hoboken Wellness Spa (Suite 7a).
  • Mini group language lessons at Learn Language Hoboken: Learn Italian at 1pm, Chinese at 2pm, and Spanish at 3pm (Suite 1)
  • Need mental help? Then attend one of the two sessions on “Demystifying Psychotherapy” (Suite 5) at 2:30pm and 3:30pm. Topics include how to choose your therapist and the five things you must tell them, how therapy works and insight versus change (“I know what my issues are. But, how do I move past them?”) Don’t bother if you’re part of “generation wuss” though, you’re beyond help.
  • ZenSpace offering “Open Yoga” and “Meditation” starting before the official open house at 10am. Ten bucks a pop. Then starting at 1pm, get “trial sized” 10 minute chunks of “Zen.” (Suites 2 & 3a).
  • Lastly, curious about the Hoboken spectacle called the “Cake Boss” – swing by Brainwaze Studio at 1pm and 3pm. Owner Ray Guzman will be giving the talk called “How We Branded Buddy, the story behind the making of Buddy Valastro: AKA The Cake Boss.” (Suite 8).
