Hoboken couple wins “The Gift of Music” contest
Will receive complimentary music for their wedding.
Lauren Potente & Michael Holowchuk of Hoboken, NJ were selected as the winning couple of Aria Melody Entertainment’s “The Gift of Music” contest, held Valentine’s Day.
Lauren & Michael will receive complimentary DJ services for their September, 2008 wedding, a prize valued at over $1,400. The couple was randomly selected from a group of couples who have booked Aria Melody Entertainment, a DJ company based in Hoboken, for their 2008 weddings. This was the first year for Aria Melody’s “The Gift of Music” contest but it will be an annual tradition. Couples are able to enter for next year’s contest, to be held Valentine’s Day, February 14th 2009.
“We started the contest as a fun way to thank our couples for letting us share in their wedding day,” says John Sinclair, who co-owns Aria Melody Entertainment with his brother, Paul Sinclair and sister-in-law Nicole Sinclair. “Lauren and Michael are a great couple and we’re excited to be part of their September wedding! We hope they can put the money they would have spent on a DJ towards having a little extra fun on their honeymoon!”
Aria Melody Entertainment is a DJ company specializing in personalized music for weddings and corporate events. Aria Melody focuses on “gimmick-free” service, promising “No Lights. No fog. No gimmicks. No Macarena.” The company is based in Hoboken NJ and has operated in the New York metro area since 2005.

let me guess, they’ll have the chicken dance, garter nonsense, cutting of the cake and all the other garbage. Congrats guys, you saved $1500 out of the $30k you’ll spend on 4 hours.
Do yourself a favor, cancel the wedding and buy a house.

30K? If they’re getting married in this area, they’re spending alot more than that.

Just wanted to chime in. I used this DJ for my wedding in April and they weren’t cheesey, the reason we hired them in the first place. They didn’t do lights or play Funkytown or anything. And no dancers leading that awful Cha Cha slide!

Elaine, I didn’t realize there were anything but luxury apartments for sale in Hoboken.
Haven’t you see the signs and ads? They’re ALL luxury. See, it’s the stainless steel Sears appliances and granite countertops that make it that way.

Personally, I think calling most of the world’s population ‘idiots’ makes you an idiot.
Secondly, DJs are great when you have a say in what’s playing. And much more worth it than spending 7x as much on a band.

Heh. Wasn’t until I moved to Hoboken that I saw “luxury” and “studio” in the same sentence.
