Water Main Break: 8th & Park

I’ve been hearing dribs and drabs of this all night on the police frequencies, but hadn’t gotten around to putting it up on 411.
Apparently, there was some kind of water main break near 8th and Park tonight… 4 or 5 cars getting towed now. That’s about all I have at the moment. Not sure how bad it is.

So are these people going to have to pay to get their cars back? It is not through their negligence that they were towed! I wonder!

Another water main break? They built up the town but forgot there was an aging infrastructure that would have to support it.

I knew there was one, cuz about 1:30 am I tried to get some water from the tap and it was pure white and had like… little beady things in it.. like mini bubbles. It was like salty soapy seltzer water… EWWWW

Further, the population spike Hoboken is experiencing due to the frenzied South and West development was foreseen by this and prior administrations. Several sitting members of the City Council lined their pockets with developers graft knowing full well that the sewer systems were incapable of supporting this deveopment. Neither the Council or the Mayor’s office demanded the developers assist in updating the fragile infrastucture let alone provide parks and playgrounds for the new citizens. The 90s and 00s in Hoboken will one day be looked upon as a time of unsurpassed greed by the people who were entrusted to care for this City. Instead they got fat on the public dime. Hopefully several of these people will one day see the inside of a jail cell.

Having lived in Manhattan for 32 years, I can verify that there are just as many water-main breaks. It’s just that with such a huge area, most of them don’t even come close to affecting you.
Is THAT what’s in Sybil’s Cave? I thought it was all the beer they confiscated the last time they let people drink during the Arts Festival.

no cause for alarm the bubbles are caused by the faucet aerator which filters out the grit from your water also if the water comes out very slowly you can easily remove the aerator and clean it out or replace with a new one. just unscrew it to remove or replace!
