Slippery times in Hoboken

2/13/2008:

Sure was slippin’ & slidin’ tonight!

Don’t people have to shovel/salt when it snows? Most sidewalks I encountered were hazardous!

2/12/2008:

We finally get a teeny bit of accumulating snow, and how bad some people drive becomes plainly evident.

There have been many minor “10-32’s” (car accidents) all over town, and even the 14th Street viaduct has become very treacherous. Hopefully another deadly accident doesn’t happen before they can salt the roads.

Be sure to listen in on the live Hoboken police and fire scanner for all the action.

Listening to the scanner feed; sounds like they’re trying to close off the viaduct, but JC/UC doesn’t have any police available to put up at the top.

I was just on Route 80 and there were no exaggeration, 4 accidents between Clifton and Secaucus. The driving is super bad.
