Free company cars in Hoboken?

Hoboken Fire Dept. SUV spotted coming from the shore – free company car?

Hoboken resident John spotted this Hoboken Fire Department SUV recently:

“Was there a fire HFD was responding to in Monmouth County? Spotted this vehicle driving back to Hoboken. Was hard to keep up with due to the excessive speeds they were traveling at.”

Wow – for what reason would a Hoboken Fire Department vehicle need to be so far away? And speeding too?

Was it on “official business” (can’t think of a good reason why), or is this yet another abuse of property-taxpayer dollars for a “privileged” civil servant?

Given the price of gas and that the city was paying for it, this individual should be brought up of theft charges ASAP.

Woodbridge is in Middlesex County, not Monmouth County.

But the question still remains as to what it was doing driving there.

City business. Right. I’d love to have someone pay for my travel expenses too.
