Did you know there is a new gym in town? Yes, it’s a bit easy to miss – but Everlast has opened their first cross-functional workout and training facility right here in Hoboken at 358 Newark Street (formerly the Homing Pigeon Club.) Everlast Lab is the first of several Everlast gyms what will make their debut across the country in 2014.
“The Lab” boasts amenities that include a multi-functional cross training area with a variety of equipment including suspension training and plyometric boxes; in addition to a full boxing ring and complete fight sports training accessories. Group exercise options range from Kettle Bell bootcamps, to small group classes such as Power Strike and Core Flyte™ Training. Classes and training sessions are strategically designed by The Lab’s coaches and trainers to benefit individual needs.
“The Lab’s message, “Fitness Evolved” speaks to all levels of fitness, designed to help consumers discover new and engaging ways of training,” says Lab Manager and Trainer, Manny Rivera.
In addition to serving as a fitness center, The Lab will host press events and photo shoots, help test and develop new Everlast products and serve as a training center for professional athletes visiting the NYC area. “We are very excited to debut The Lab training facility, it is an initiative the public has asked about for quite some time,” says President/CEO, Neil Morton. “The Lab is designed to provide members with support and education to challenge their traditional workout routines and help them to evolve as an athlete. Deontay Wilder in Hoboken TODAY!
Speaking of “events,” there is one here in Hoboken TODAY from 12pm to 5pm. Rising Heavyweight boxing start Deontay Wilder (“The Bronze Bomber”) will be at the Everlast Lab for a video shoot. An impressive 31-0 (all by KO), the 6 foot 7 inch Wilder, in addition to participating in the filming of the commercial, will also take questions from fans and sign autographs.
You never know – Wilder could become the next Mike Tyson!
