Wow – Cluck-U Poop in the window!

Okay, most of us know that Cluck-U Chicken is very far from culinary perfection. It’s essentially “junk food” and aimed at either people who want a very “quick & dirty” meal, or those that are inebriated beyond having common sense. To each their own. But have you seen this Cluck-U Poop sign in the window?

C’mon Cluck-U – please hire better food photographers!

You see, this is what stupid “smartphone photo apps” are doing to the general public. Horrible programs like Instagram have made everyone believe they’re all Ansel Adams when it comes to photography – without any effort or knowledge of the art of photography. The “bar of acceptance” when it comes photos has reached an all-time low in my opinion.

This “food photo” (if you want to call it that – looks more like a crime scene) of a chicken and beef “Kabob” is quite unappealing.

For one, the chicken “pieces” look more like bloody organs of some unknown mammal or road kill – and the “beef kabob” looks like an exact replica of dog poop you’re likely to find on any block in Hoboken.

Perhaps this is “honest” food marketing. The opposite of how a Big Mac at McDonald’s never looks that good. Who knows. But seriously, can you tell the difference?
