i had my car inspected there about a year ago. i dropped it off and was able to pick up the next day. it was relatively painless.

Thanks. I may go to Dave’s since they said it would take 30 minutes to do the inspection and Sunoco told me that I would have to drop it off in the morning and that it would be done by 2pm.

I may not be able to get to the Secaucus DMV in time to get my car inspected before it expires. Has anyone had their car inspected here?

Can they replace side view mirrors here, or do they only do basic stuff?

It would be a helluva lot cheaper to order the mirror and put it on yourself, but yes I THINK they would do it for you!

I’ve been there a few times for minor things and they were okay. Last time I was there it was b/c my battery was dead. I parked my car on their lot near the edge, part-way on the sidewalk (per their direction). A few weeks later I received a notice in the mail that I missed paying my ticket **that I DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT (so now I had to pay $65)!!!**

Granted, maybe I should’ve stopped and thought about where I parked it ( although they did point me to the spot AND it’s easy to assume that square lot is all theirs – forgetting the public property part of it).

AND maybe they didn’t know I got the ticket b/c it was “blown off” the car overnight.

BUT it still leaves a bad feeling, that maybe they didn’t want to tell me face to face.

When I picked up my car from here 2 weeks ago after they repaired it, they had parked it about 2 1/2 blocks away, on the street.

What if it had gotten a ticket or something. Who is responsible for that?

where do you expect them to park it? you have seen the lot – there is zero room. so where are they supposed to put the dozen cars they are probably juggling at any on time?

They have a posting saying that they will park your car on the street and you are responsible for making sure your parking sticker is up to date.

These guys WERE honest. I’ve taken my car there several times in the past. Pricey but they did the work. Recently, I had a really terrible experience there. They damaged my car and lied to my face about it. It was really disgusting. You really see people’s true colors when things go wrong. They cost me a lot of money and basically there was really nothing I could do about it. Take home lesson…take pictures of your car before you leave it anywhere no matter what you have done and do NOT go to this place. I’m still walking funny.
