Krank Hoboken opens at Neumann Leather

Hoboken is a bit like NYC in some regards. There are many “normal” businesses that exist in town deep within historical buildings – and without much “street level” presence. One such business is a fitness facility called Krank Hoboken – located on the first floor of the Neumann Leather building at 333 Newark Street (enter through the parking lot).

Krank Hoboken

“The definition of fitness” says Krank Hoboken

Krank Hoboken wants all potential clients to know that “We are not a gym, we are not a health club, and we are not the standard. Simply put, we are the definition of fitness!”

What that means is they take a “multifaceted” approach to training by using various techniques to systematically increase strength, power and performance. Their classes are designed for people at any level in their fitness regimen – from total beginners – to advanced individuals already pushing the limits of their bodies.

With 4,000 sq. ft. of space in the building, Krank believes that “hacking” your way to a better body cannot be done without proper guidance and commitment, which is why they offer memberships in three-month minimums. They promise to provide results within the first 90 days.

Depending on how frequently you intend (or can) workout, membership packages range from $177/month to $247/month for unlimited. Also offered are private personal training sessions for between one and three people.

In the end, however – a fitness program, regardless of what it entails – often boils down to how good the trainers are. And co-owner Robert Morales is one trainer who is quite passionate about what he does. As the Head Coach of Krank Hoboken – Robert is a compassionate yet positive motivator for his students – delivering a calm but persistent workout that has earned him respect from his customers, as well as within the workout community.

Also coming later this year is an important, yet under-represented service: Self-defense program for women.
