Hoboken Ambulance watching lost cat

1/21/2008:

Are you missing your pussy cat?

Well, hope is not lost. The Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corp. has found this cat, and has been caring for it for the past couple days. As much as they enjoy the cat, they’d like to return it to the original owners, or find a warm, loving home for the furry feline.

“Recently, the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corp took in a beautiful black and white cat which we found wondering Hoboken. We do not know if this is someone’s lost cat or a stray, but we have been keeping her well fed and cared for the past few days. We figured we would turn to Hoboken411 to try and locate her original owners should she be lost, or at least find a family who can take her in and care for her in the long term.

Sadly, as great as it would be to have a cat at the Ambulance, it’s not an appropriate place for her since several of our members are allergic. She is a bit skittish, but once she gets to know you she seems to make herself at home.

I would like to get her back to her original owners or in to a new and loving home.

Thanks for your help!

I can say by my worldly cat experience that black and whites are the best cats ever.

The Grand Bakery at 8th/Willow? That place has been vacant for months, as far as I can tell. The cat was still at the Corps when I was there today. If anyone here thinks they know the cat’s owner and/or wants to foster it, why not stop by the Corps at the Friday 7pm shift change and check it out?

We had to stay away from our building between patients today because my partner is allergic to cats. Please, somebody, take this cat. If I could, I would.

707 Clinton Street. Toys, litter, and food are available.

Hey – that is a good looking kitty. It looks like a cat that used to live at the Grand Bakery on the corner of 6th & Willow. I know the store front for the Grand closed down a while ago, but I think they were still doing commercial business. Given the proximity to the ambulance corp. (~1.5 blocks) it could be him. Someone might want to stop by the Grand and see if their kitty is missing.
