Hoboken City Parking Offenders at 12th & Washington
Today’s Hoboken City Parking Offenders entry is a double-whammy. And I have to say, it happens often over on 12th Street between Washington Street and Hudson Street. In this particular instance, two city vehicles were both illegally parked too close to the intersection, making it difficult for trucks to turn, and giving pedestrians very little wiggle room to evade an errant car if necessary.
Frankly, I’ve been a bit torn about pointing out certain city parking offenders. I mean these guys aren’t politicians, and they probably don’t make the same big bucks that people like Dawn Zimmer’s twittering coffee-gopher make.
So part of me wants to applaud them for their “F-YOU” attitude towards the city as they use public vehicles while they take a break at home. But at the same time, the hypocrisy that takes place in Hoboken (do as we say, not as we do) is quite frustrating – especially on the property taxpayer dime.
Maybe I’ll cut the grunt workers some slack in the future. I mean neither of these guys work for the diseased department know as the “HPU” (the Hoboken Pickpocketing Underworld).
About Hoboken Parking: City Offender Zone
The City Offender Zone feature on Hoboken411 was created over six years ago in order to build a historical collection of ridiculous parking circumstances that are somehow connected with the city of Hoboken. Whether it’s Hoboken council people who think they’re “above the law,” city programs that are abused or misused, or just plain hypocrisy in your face.
You see any city parking offenders you want to make public? Send Hoboken411 an email with photo, description and how you’d like to be credited (if at all.)
