Hoboken for Hillary

1/14/2008:

Today at 3pm, over at Turning Point, a star-studded press conference blasting off the “Hoboken for Hillary Clinton” campaign.

“Various dignitaries will be there including but not limited to Governor Corzine, Senator Menendez, Freehold Fitzgibbons, and various members of the City Council.”

The Turning Point does not have any political affiliations with any party. We were asked by the Hillary for Hoboken committee to use our restaurant for the event (most likely because of our view of NYC) and we obliged. If Rudy, McCain, Obama or Bloomberg asked to use the restaurant we would also oblige. Personally I think that anytime there is an intelligent exchange between people concerning the present or future leaders of the country, its a good thing. We are in real trouble when the conversations and debates stop. Being involved and informed will ensure citizens proper representation. I highly recommend the following reading material:

Corzine needs to raise taxes because all of the interstate traffic that flows through the state gets a pass on the wear and tear they do to the roads, air and environment. Sure the little local guy gets hurt, but many of the little locals should use public transportation. You want to drive, you need to pay, it is a privilege. Take a bus or train.

I nominate the ticket of Chris Campos and Mike Russo as Hoboken’s dream team of change.
Exactly – the job of a governor is to balance the budget and that usually means higher taxes to fix the broken systems of past regimes. Would much rather share that burden with the out of state traffic and work from home more often or take a bus or train. With the price of gas, I’d much rather shell out for a Path ticket rather than gas and parking for a few hours in NYC.
The country’s a damn mess. Hilary is our best choice. She’s a woman, so what, she’s a ball buster. She is insincere, but they all are. She flip flops, but they all will. She’s a player, and she knows the game. She knows DC and the White House from the inside out. She’s tough, she’s been a part of the presidency, and she has Bill as an advisor, on a leash.
Enough of the same old Washington insiders with “experience” maybe it’s time for a fresh approach. The same issues with the same players for much too long.
Corzine is a typical limousine liberal. He has made all his money so doesn’t care about those trying to do the same. Taxes go up on the turnpike, no problem to him. Probably will blame the red pickup again. He clearly just wants to be president.
