A Hoboken Tale 2013
Garden Street School of Performing Arts: A Hoboken Tale
Garden Street School of the Performing Arts is once again proud to present “A Hoboken Tale,” a fantastic musical written by the extremely talented Dan McLoughlin and directed by Lisa Capps. Now in it’s second year!
The show features classic holiday music, original songs and many local Hoboken kids dancing and singing.
Where else can you see a Hoboken-themed holiday show?
“This is a story about supporting your community by shopping locally and getting ourselves back to the values that really matter,” says McLoughlin.
The story centers around Mr. Fabrini, a local shop owner who is struggling to keep his shop open. Times are tough, but he may have a few “magic” tricks up his sleeve to bring the town he loves together. In the age of holiday commercialism and obsession with technology, Mr. Fabrini gives his neighbors life lessons that endure – like the healing power that music brings. The troupe will show this through song, dance and the story of hope for a small town that comes together during the holidays and every day of the year!
“A Hoboken Tale” makes it’s sophomore performance this weekend at Monroe Theatrespace, with three shows this year! Saturday, December 21st at 3PM and 7PM, and Sunday, December 22nd at 2pm.
Once again, this is the “MUST SEE“ holiday production of 2013. You will never seen such an original, well written, locally-specific show ever presented here in Hoboken. While we’ve had great shows regardless – but nothing as special as this. See one of our favorite tunes from last year’s show below.
I hope everyone enjoys this special production!
